In the American tradition of baby shower, it indicates one type of shower wherein a pre-birth gathering is held as a form of support to the mom-to-be. It's more known in northern California as a non-commercial version of the standard baby shower.
Diaper Shower: A Party For Not So New Parents
A baby sprinkle or a diaper shower is a smaller version of a baby shower. It is thrown for parents who do not really need as many items as new parents. These are parents who already had one or more children. However, this type of shower should not be considered as a less important because it's not. Remember all children, no matter if they're first, second, or third-born are all special and equally important. So treat the diaper shower just as important as the first baby shower.
Grandma's Shower: Not Only Parents Can Have Fun With A Baby Shower
Not only biological parents can enjoy baby showers. The excited grandparents, particularly the grandmother can also be thrown a baby shower of her own. The excitement of becoming a first time grandmother can be overwhelming that it becomes so easy to spoil a child with all the gifts that a grandparent can buy. To prepare for this, a grandma's shower is held in which guests bring gifts for the grandparents to keep at their house such as a changing pad and a crib. If you want to host a baby shower for the parents and would not want to overlook the grandparents, you can include them in the traditional baby shower, too.
Pampers Party: Gender-Focused Party
If traditional baby showers are mostly for mom-to-be's, this time, a Pampers party is for men. It's usually thrown the same day as the mom's baby shower. This is when father-to-be are given only diapers since the mom-to-be gets the other stuff.
