Christmas is a very special occasion not only for the Christian community but also for other communities throughout the world. Christmas marks the arrival of the New Year, and with that, hopes of new joys and prosperity. Many people start shopping for Christmas as early as the first week of December. In this article I will tell you about the four special things that you need to do to make your Christmas memorable.
Christmas reminds us of several things, such as the Santa Claus, the Christmas cake, the Christmas tree, Christmas gifts and decorations, etc. Christmas tree and wreaths are an integral part of any Christmas celebration.
1. Christmas Decorations:
Christmas decorations can be anything, right from golden balls to stars to bird decorations, as well as wreaths, bells, candles, bird decorations, etc. As a matter of fact, children take the lead over elders in deciding which Christmas decorations are needed and which are not. People, as a rule, often start shopping for Christmas decorations as early as the last week of November, because the earlier they start shopping, the better and cheaper deals they will get. Christmas decorations can either be indoors or outdoors. If you want to use an indoor Christmas decoration, it would be much better if it is based around a theme like the Santa Christmas scene or the Victorian street scene.
Personally I prefer animated decorations over the static ones. The ones I generally use are those of Santa waving, the horse and the carriage, etc. There are many more available and you can choose whatever you want.
2. Christmas Tree:
Next comes the Christmas tree. Now, Christmas trees come in two varieties: real and artificial. Which one you choose is up to you, but let me tell you that both real and artificial trees have their own sets of advantages and disadvantages. For example, real trees would have to be purchased every year, plus they require constant maintenance and care from you. Artificial trees require no maintenance, and they are actually quite economical as well as durable. But artificial trees obviously cannot give off the natural pine scent that the real ones do. So it is you who need to decide on what you want.
3. Christmas Bows And Stars:
Christmas bows are generally used to attach garlands with trees, but they can also be used to decorate your windows and doors. Christmas stars are hung in order to signify the birth of Christ. Stars come in several shapes and sizes.
4. Lighting:
Lighting is a very important aspect of any Christmas celebrations. Lights are what will brighten an otherwise lifeless Christmas tree. There are many different types of lights available in the market such as light bulbs, mini lights, light strings, etc.
That is all you really need to celebrate Christmas. Of course I have skipped the Christmas cake and the gifts, and that is because they often vary based upon individual choice.
