Christmas is coming and it is time to distribute holiday cards to your loved ones. You have two options as far as Christmas cards go: one is the good old paper card and another is the e-card. So which one will you use this year? I won't be surprised if you choose e-cards over paper cards, because sending an e-card is far more convenient, fast and cheaper than a paper card. But I still think you should send paper cards to your relations rather than e-cards. In this article I will tell you why.
1. Durability:
In terms of advantages, paper cards overshadow e-cards. The first advantage of using a paper card is that they are generally preserved for a longer time than the e-cards. If you ask someone who it was that send them the xx greetings card, they would be able to locate that quickly. However, if you ask the same people who did send them the last e-card, they will fumble for an answer. And the reason is that e-cards cannot exude the warmth of a paper card. People who send out paper cards are remembered more by the recipients that those who send out e-cards.
2. Easy Personalization:
Unlike e-cards, where you are limited to customizing only a few aspects of the card, with a paper card, you can send out cards of different shapes and sizes, colors or designer cuts to different recipients. You can make cards in such a way that no two recipients receive the same type of card. If you have got some Christmas images then you can paste those images on the front of your card. If you haven't got any images then you can always search the internet for some free clip art. There are thousands of free Christmas clip art available online. All you need to do is to download the image, print it out and paste it on the front side of the card.
If the gift recipient has some pets at home, then you can paste the image of the pet on the card. It would look much more appealing to the card recipient than any other image.
You can also send out cards of different shapes and sizes; cards can be round, star-shaped, square-shaped, etc.
3. Send Cards With Family Photos:
If you have snapped some pictures with your family or friends, you can use these photos while creating your Christmas cards. It is so easy - all you need for this purpose is a computer and a digital camera.
Once you click some pictures with your family, all you need to do is to upload them to your computer. You can even use free image sharing sites such as Flickr and share the photos with friends who live far away.
Can you achieve all these with an internet-based card, or e-card? I doubt it. So the next time you want to send out Christmas cards, always choose paper cards.
