With all the frenzy surrounding you about the upcoming Christmas, have you got some time to think about yourself? I mean, have you thought about some ways you can lose during Christmas?
Christmas or no Christmas, you need to set weight loss goals throughout the year, or else you will never be able to shed one pound. Now, what if you can shed even one pound during Christmas? Can you relate it to your overall weight loss goal? Ask yourself that if you lose one pound just a week before Christmas, how many more pounds do you need to lose in total?
And the advantages of losing one pound of weight? Well, there are many than you can imagine! One advantage is that you can be down one dress size and you can buy those slim outfits for yourself that you could never wear just because they won't fit to your body. Or you can shock your family with your new slim figure. Just imagine how pleasantly they will be surprised when they see your new look; they might not even recognize you at all!
The number one way to lose weight fast is to set specific goals and targets. But merely setting some goals is not the answer. You will never have any incentive to reach a goal unless there is some kind of reward for it. So, once you reach a goal of certain weight, reward yourself in various ways. Of course, the reward shouldn't be food related but it can be anything ranging from pampering yourself at the local spa to spending some quality time with your spouse and kids. It can be anything but food-related; your imagination is the only limit.
Now, it is even more important to check your weight during Christmas because your family and friends will bring home a lot of tasty cookies and candies and however much you are tempted to taste them, you should not ever touch them because these cookies and candies are rich in calories and can increase your weight uncontrollably. Of course, you can eat the big Christmas turkey but after you are finished eating off the turkey, make sure to go out and take a walk or two instead of sitting over the couch and watching television. It will help you shed some extra calories you gained from the turkey.
There is really no hard and fast rule which says that you cannot lose weight during Christmas. If something helps you lose weight but is not practiced by others in your family, set a tradition by practicing it yourself first. Others will follow.
