Gaming can be lots of fun. Every moment is pure bliss and bursts with excitement especially if you can excel in motion and be the master of your own game. But gaming is not only a world of fun but also a world of safety precautions. Nintendo Wii made it a point that clients be informed and warned of the various problems that can be encountered upon the use of the Wii remote.
So to ease out the tension, there are several precautions adults must take note of.
Wear The Strap.
A wrist strap is worn during the game. You have to make sure that the strap is tightly locked on your wrist. For kids, you have to see to it they wear the straps no matter how much they object to it. Even if the game is a multiplayer type, wrist straps should not be compromised. The strap can prevent the Wii remote from flying across your room causing damages to onlookers, things and to the player himself. Flying remotes are caused by accidentally letting go of the gadget while the game is still being played.
Never Let Go.
Even if the wrist strap is tightly secured, don't take chances by releasing the Wii remote during an ongoing game. Hold it firmly. Furthermore, avoid excessive motions. If you are playing bowling which requires a release of the ball to hit the pins, you don't have to throw the remote to the monitor. All you are instructed to do is to press the B button for the bowling ball to be released. Now, if you are having such a blast, and you noticed that you are perspiring a lot, take a couple of seconds to wipe your hands. Excessive motion can make the strap break and the remote can lose control. Injuries to people nearby are possible.
Feed The Cord.
If you are using the remote and Nunchuk at the same time, it will involve vigorous rapid motions. So before the game, lock the wrist strap and use the strap itself for the Nunchuk to be fed inside it then connect it through the hook. Make sure that the strap cord is running through the hook connector.
There was a report wherein several original wrist straps had to be replaced by a newer and safer version. This is due to reports that when the controller received excessive and vigorous force, the straps broke threatening the bystanders and any objects that came in between. Check your straps to see if it needs replacement.
