After being successful during the vintage years, whatever happened to the cars that have survived the passing of time? Well, they're here to stay. Believe it or not, these cars have surpassed different eras and phases in man's life to become one of the most sought after cars. It is for a fact, one of the most expensive cars there is. Lucky for those who already have one and their forefathers are kind enough to give it as a present kept inside their garage for decades.
Rarity is one of the characteristics of a vintage car, not unless you lived in the vintage era. It is uncommon, thus making it quite costly. A car collection wouldn't be complete without having a vintage car parked inside the "Car of Fame" hall. And because of its outrageous price, only the rich and the famous could afford having one. Not unless you have saved up for one all your life.
Vintage Cars Of Modern Times
Today's vintage cars are categorized into 3 namely: Modified, Restored, and Original. Debates about these three cars are overriding the airwaves. It is determined by the works and the history of the car on how a vintage car must be priced or categorized.
Modified Vintage Cars
As the name implies, these are the types of vintage cars that are customized according to the owners preference. Every part was modernized even if its only meant for being safe while driving. More like MTV's Pimp My Ride, they take away the bad and useless parts of a car, making it look more techie but not compromising the cars real design and body.
Restored Vintage Cars
Unlike modified, restored cars are the ones that need a lot of major operations like overhauling just to bring it back to its proper function and nature. The cars basic features are not necessarily tapped but the internal performance is where the job is focused on.
Original Vintage Cars
This is the type of vintage cars that maintained its optional look and performance. Never been touched by any modifications. It adheres to its feature from the moment it was manufactured. No maintenance or alterations, minor or major, were made.
Even if there are numerous view points about how a modern vintage car should actually look like, it all comes down to this thought; nothing portrays it best than vintage. It is a definite great work of art.
