If your not regularly stopping in on your local dollar store, than your making a financial mistake. There are many items in dollar stores that are selling for less than half of what the same item sales for in your major grocery stores.
A few nights ago I was asked to pick up some paint while I was at Home Dep_t getting superglue. I decided to spin by the local dollar store on the way and Shazzam, the same superglue I later saw at Home Dep_t for $3.49 was, you guessed it $1.00 . I also bought three pretty high quality paint brushes for $1.00 each. Equivalent paint brushes at Home Dep_t were almost $5.00 .
Take a look at all the name brand toothpaste available for a buck in a dollar store and then check out the toothpaste isle of your local grocery store. You will see how the big grocery chains became big grocery chains.
Another quick dollar or so savings I have found is on bathroom cups. Grocery store price around three dollars. Dollar store price, well you know. Many of the items that you go to the big drug stores for are available for a buck, such as giftwrap, gift bags, greeting cards, reading glasses, houshold cleaners, childrens toys, garden tools, kitchen towels, razor blades and dispossible razors, mylar balloons for birthdays and holidays.
In recent years, dollar store stocks were some of the hottest properties on Wallstreet. This explosive growth in dollar stores must mean millions of americans are saving money everyday. If your someone who thinks only the poor shop at dollar stores, it's time to wise up. Being frugal when you can, is a trait of the average millionaire.
It's constantly changing, but consistantly saving. Get out, Shop, Save, Smile. It's the American way.
