Next, practice first your tricks in a controlled environment like grass or carpet before daring to execute it on the pavement. Do not rush to learn new tricks, take it easy. Rushing will only lead to accidents. Master one trick first and proceed to the next when ready.

Skateboard-related injuries happen when you do not wear the proper gears and do not follow the safety guidelines in skateboarding. Pad up. Wear a helmet. Sometimes, you feel like an idiot when you ride with teenagers and you are completely covered with these gears. That's okay. I mean the wearing of the gears, not the idiot part. After all, the only person you can blame when you get injured because you did not wear the proper gears is yourself not those people around you.
Also, be safe when riding. Do not skate on the street where motor vehicles and pedestrian traffic are present. Never hitch a ride from trucks, buses, cars, and even bicycles.
Do not go too far outside your comfort zone. Do not show off. Never attempt new tricks if you haven't practiced them yet. The list goes on. The point is to ride safe.
