Just when you thought things were going your way, you notice a tear on your headliner. What luck! What a way to start your day! As you check your watch, you still have a couple of minutes before leading back to work. So you decided to deal with that tear later.
You came to work with only one thought in mind, How can I fix that horrible tear on top of me? Suddenly it hits you.
After work you've decided to stop at a hardware store and buy yourself an adhesive spray. This would come in real handy with a couple of push pins in tack. You drive back home. After dinner, you go to the garage and pick up the stuff you bought from that handy store.
You open your car door and put on some lights. You check how bad the tear has become. And with a sigh of exhaustion you realize how bad that tear is hanging there in front of you. Definitely, you have to do something about it. So you get the materials and place them chronologically.
The adhesive spray is used to connect and tape together the headliner and the top part of your car where it is attached. Depending on the range of damage of the tear, you must measure how much should you spray. An overwhelming amount of spray can do just fine as long as you don't use it up.
Open the can of spray. Use the appropriate amount. Be sure you sprayed on evenly. Do not leave any spaces for this attracts moisture. And moisture can cause your furnished headliner to come loose again.
After spraying the right amount, apply a rubbing pressure toward the headliner tear. Putting extra pressure will prevent bubbles to get stuck inside the cloth. Just like pasting your room wallpaper or your car tint.
If your tear is on one straight admirable line, that would lessen the time but if its several, make sure every piece fits. Push them altogether until the tear lines aren't noticeable. It might take a couple of minutes for the adhesive spray to dry up.
If your head and arms are tired of holding it till all pieces dry, you could use your push pins to keep it on place. The next morning when you go to work just take out the pins and see that your once torn headliner is pasted together again.
